The Grades 11 and 12 HUMSS classes attended a guided tour of the “Duyan ang Kadagatan” Exhibit today, September 2, 2023, at The Kabilin Center of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, followed by a seashell crafts necklace making workshop. Duyan ang Kadagatan (Cradled By The Sea) is a community exhibit focused on the role and significance of the bodies of water surrounding Cebu to the communal life of the Cebuano fisherfolk. The exhibit features artifacts and implements gathered by several fishing communities from Zaragosa Island, Badian, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu, and the islands of Bantayan.

In the recently concluded Central Visayas-Hybrid Speech Contest held on July 29, 2023, at Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, Senior High student Gabriel Samson from Grade 12 Animo emerged victorious, clinching the first-place award.

Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu is proud to host the National Robotics Competition last November 11,2023, where young minds converge to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This prestigious event not only celebrates innovation in the field of robotics but also underscores the importance of technology in solving real-world challenges.

The Senior High School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) conducted the 3rd International College and Career Exposure (iC2E) in Japan from June 8 to 14, 2023. The iC2E program aims to provide opportunities for the students to integrate concepts, principles, skills, and values developed from Senior High School core, applied, and specialized subjects with a GLOCAL perspective wherein a global paradigm was applied in a local context.

The Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand of the Senior High School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and the Ateneo de Cebu Business Club (ABC) support the Bakery World 2023, the first and largest exposition focused on the baking and food service industry in the Visayas, organized by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held last September 14-16, 2023, at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

In January 2023, the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) was proud to welcome a group of over 80 senior high school students from Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) for a series of workshops as well as to sign a 3-year memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Last May of this year, I received a stunning news that my then working thesis was accepted for oral presentation in the 15th Philippine Linguistics Congress, one of the largest gathering of Filipino linguists devoted to the study and preservation of the Philippine languages. It was in itself a feat.

In the recently concluded 25th World Scout Jamboree held in SaeManGeum, Jeollabuk-do, Republic of Korea, last August 1-12, 2023, six Blue Eagle Scouts, Therese Erlyn Napuli, Arthur Inigo Crisologo Santos, Mikaela Baquiano, Andrea Gail Marave, and Priscilla Viveca Leonides Santos, represented Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu with the other 27 scouts of the Visayas delegation from Bacolod, Aklan, Iloilo, and Dumaguete, representing the Philippine Contingent.
