In January 2023, the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) was proud to welcome a group of over 80 senior high school students from Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) for a series of workshops as well as to sign a 3-year memorandum of understanding (MOU).
After almost 3 years of cultural isolation, the energy these students brought with them through SHS-AdC’s 4th International College and Career Exposure (iC2E) in Singapore was a welcome relief.
During their visit, students took part in a micro-credential workshop on web development by Mr. Thum Cheng Cheong, during which they learnt how the Internet of Things (IoT) has radically changed our lives and how students can take advantage of it not only in their daily lives but also in school.
Students also participated in a design thinking micro-credential workshop by Mr. Andrew Lee where they gained a better understanding on how this has become a necessary competency for a new generation of creative and innovative thinkers which will help our youth of today become future leaders.
The trip was capped off with a sharing by Mr. Christian Philip Empinado (ABM Strand Batch 2020) and Ms. Jillian Anika Bernad (ABM Strand Batch 2021), who are currently studying at SIM followed by the signing of a MOU which represents a significant milestone acknowledging our commitment to mutual growth and friendship.
With this milestone, we look forward to the years ahead and all that the future holds as our partnership and friendship continues to flourish.
