To the Ateneo Hearter community, Christmas is a celebration and an opportunity to share its blessings and give back to its partner communities. Hence, in line with the season’s spirit of giving, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu’s annual Christmas Fair returns with the theme “Persons of Christ, Bearers of Peace” filled with engaging activities and moving performances to raise funds for a greater cause.

On May 4, 2023, CESAFI held its declamation contest 2022 season in coordination with the University of San Carlos. The contest was held at the Buchcick Hall 1 of the USC-South Campus. Ten (10) schools participated in the Elementary and High School Divisions.
Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu sent Jaienne Braveree Suralta from Grade 11-Gaudium as the declamation contest representative. Suralta was chosen unanimously by the senior high school department because of her theater and public speaking skills.

The Grades 11 and 12 HUMSS classes attended a guided tour of the “Duyan ang Kadagatan” Exhibit today, September 2, 2023, at The Kabilin Center of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, followed by a seashell crafts necklace making workshop. Duyan ang Kadagatan (Cradled By The Sea) is a community exhibit focused on the role and significance of the bodies of water surrounding Cebu to the communal life of the Cebuano fisherfolk. The exhibit features artifacts and implements gathered by several fishing communities from Zaragosa Island, Badian, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu, and the islands of Bantayan.

In the recently concluded Central Visayas-Hybrid Speech Contest held on July 29, 2023, at Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, Senior High student Gabriel Samson from Grade 12 Animo emerged victorious, clinching the first-place award.

The Senior High School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) conducted the 3rd International College and Career Exposure (iC2E) in Japan from June 8 to 14, 2023. The iC2E program aims to provide opportunities for the students to integrate concepts, principles, skills, and values developed from Senior High School core, applied, and specialized subjects with a GLOCAL perspective wherein a global paradigm was applied in a local context.
