What a festive and meaningful day it was for the Grade School (GS) Faculty and Staff last September 1, 2026, at the Grade School Activity Center! The first Faculty and Staff Wellness Activity for school year 2026-2027 brought everyone together in a joyful celebration of health, camaraderie, and Filipino culture.
The Filipino and Math areas, together with the Character Prefects and Guidance Counselors, sponsored the activity, which carried the inspiring theme: “Galing at Ginhawa: Buwan ng Wika Wellness Fest”. The event highlighted the importance of wellness while honoring the Filipino spirit of unity, cooperation, and fun.
The GS teachers enthusiastically participated in traditional larong Pinoy, including planting rice, kadang-kadang, and sack race. The GS guidance counselors skillfully facilitated the games. Despite the scheduled power interruption, the lively celebration continued with karaoke singing as teachers showcased their vocal talent. Furthermore, the birthday celebrators for the months of June, July, and August were invited to the spotlight to receive a special birthday blessing and warm greetings.
The celebration concluded with a joyful salo-salo featuring a delicious feast of lechon, fresh fruits, lettuce salad harvested from the school garden, bam-e, Flavor of the Road ice cream, boiled plantains, and sweet potatoes. More than a gathering, the wellness activity became a memorable opportunity for the faculty and staff to strengthen friendships, celebrate Filipino traditions, and nurture a healthier and happier school community. It was truly a wonderful way to conclude the first term and a refreshing beginning to the second term, inspiring everyone to move forward with cura personalis and hope. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
