The Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand of the Senior High School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and the Ateneo de Cebu Business Club (ABC) support the Bakery World 2023, the first and largest exposition focused on the baking and food service industry in the Visayas, organized by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held last September 14-16, 2023, at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
All Grade 12 ABM entrepreneurship students visited the event to interact with over 70 trade exhibitors and learn from industry experts. The culinary adventure started with a series of hands-on sessions from worldwide speakers. Each session gave attendees a tantalizing taste of what’s to come, from top-secret ingredients to sophisticated processes.
As part of their Entrepreneurship subject requirements, the students interviewed exhibitors as to their goal or objective for attending the event, the problem/s that their products are trying to address or solve, the unique value proposition (UVP) of their offerings, and the marketing strategies they employ to reach their target customers. Moreover, the students inquired about the company’s best human resource practices that ensure employee retention and development as well as the measurement used by the company to determine employee productivity vis-a-vis company-set targets. Lastly, they asked about company policy or practice that encourages management-employee cooperation.
The Bakery World 2023 was a reflective experience for all Grade 12 ABM students to be exposed to a wide array of business exhibitions in order to apply entrepreneurial concepts and principles they’ve learned from the classrooms to real-life business environments.

Mr. Danilo I. Dillo, Jr., MBA is a
Google Certified Educator Level 1, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer, and
the incumbent Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand Head of the
Senior High School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu. He spent
two (2) years as a Juris Doctor student at the University of Cebu – School of
Law. He finished his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ateneo
Graduate School of Business (AGSB), Ateneo de Manila University. He received a
“Social Impact Award” from the Oxford Business Group in relation to scaffolding
the younger generation to develop “The AgriCOOLtural Mindset”. He is also an
Incorporator of Unigrow Agricultural Development and Services Corp., a company
dedicated to building sustainable and self-sufficient communities, giving
dignity to the farmers as a profession, and assuring food stability for the
unknown future.
