On January 10, 2026, the Grade 3 Ateneo Hearters participated in an insightful talk featuring parent entrepreneurs. Each Grade 3 section had one parent speaker who shared his/her expertise on establishing and managing successful businesses, emphasizing the vital role of mathematics in making informed, real-world decisions. After the engaging talk, the third graders were given a chance to ask questions to gather strategies for their upcoming “Little Business Bazaar.” By applying their understanding of money and number sense, the pupils worked to determine fair pricing for their products.
The culmination of this activity took place on January 30, 2026, during the Club Enrichment Program period. The Grade 3 Ateneo Hearters transformed into little entrepreneurs where they set up booths that catered to a diverse range of target markets, including fellow students, teachers, and custodians.
The bazaar also provided a practical environment for students to test their negotiation skills as they interacted with customers who attempted to bargain. This hands-on experience taught the pupils that entrepreneurship requires more than just calculation; it demands responsibility, critical thinking, and adaptability.
Overall, the Grade 3 Ateneo Hearters had a fun and meaningful experience. Many of them expressed a newfound interest in the business world, with several pledging to join the Social Entrepreneurship Club next school year. Through this initiative, our young learners discovered that mathematics is not just a classroom subject, but a powerful tool especially for navigating the world of business.
