The Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School community opened the first days of school carrying the invisible torch of the school’s patron saint, Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The first days of school began with all students and formators gathering at the grade school activity center for the morning routine, which included the morning spiritual warm-up, the novena to St. Ignatius of Loyola, welcome messages from the Jesuits and the grade school principal and assistant principals, and some reminders from the character prefects.
The first days of school were dedicated for the formation of young minds and hearts to become able bearers of Christ’s light as they were oriented on the meaning of Ignatian spirituality, the school’s vision and mission, the school’s anti-bullying policy, classroom routines, and classroom rules and procedures. The young Ateneo Hearters were also able to get to know their teachers and staff, as well as their classmates during the orientation days.
With a conducive classroom environment and a clear set of goals, the youngest members in our school community are ready to face S.Y. 2024 to 2025 with a confident heart as they carry the torch of St. Ignatius of Loyola, onward to creating paths of hope for God’s greater glory!
