The Grade School community of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu celebrated the feast of Saint Ignatius last July 30, 2024 through a solemn mass presided by Fr. Irmo Francis Valeza, SJ, and concelebrated by father president, Fr. Mike Pineda, SJ, at the Magis Eagles Arena.
Prior to the Solemnity of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Ateneo Hearters were also invited to post their prayer intentions on the prayer wall located in front of the St. Francis Xavier chapel, answer trivia about St. Ignatius, watch a short film about St. Ignatius’ life, and read the Ignatian learning walls at the fourth and fifth levels. Lastly, the grade school community prayed the nine-day novena to St. Ignatius of Loyola at the grade school activity center as part of their morning routine before going up to their classrooms.
Indeed, the celebration of St. Ignatius’ feast day was one that draws every Ateneo Hearter closer to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
