Last November 18, 2023, SHS-AdC conducted ESC grant orientations for the Grade 7-10 beneficiaries. The orientation was in accordance with the mandatory requirement from PEAC that both the parents of the beneficiaries as well as the students themselves were guided on the terms and conditions of the ESC Grant.

Additionally, beneficiaries of both the ESC Grant and the SHS Voucher Program were oriented on the descriptions of the programs and the process in which they shall receive the subsidy amount. For this school year, there are a total of 124 ESC Grant beneficiaries and a total of 199 SHS VP beneficiaries. With the help of these government subsidies, SHS-AdC can provide Jesuit education to more intelligent, hardworking, and talented students with the hope that they too may maximize their capabilities and in turn, reach their full potential as individuals.

About PEAC

The ESC Grant and the SHS Voucher Program are administered and processed by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), which is the trustee of the Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE). FAPE is a perpetual fund created to aid private education in the country. Through PEAC, the Department of Education (DepEd) can provide a cost-effective alternative to expansion of public schools by means of service contracts with private schools that would accommodate overflow students from the public schools. This does not only decongest overcrowded public junior high schools but also helps the government in attaining substantial savings.
