Launching of the Grade School Career Awareness Days

Written by: Mylene Louise C. Santiago

The Grade School Guidance Services proudly launched Career Awareness Activities on January 10, 2025, with the exciting theme, “Bright Futures Ahead: Exploring Careers that Help Others.” This event marked the beginning of an engaging series of activities designed to spark curiosity and broaden the students’ understanding of various professions. The goal was to introduce young learners to the wide array of careers that exist, with a special focus on roles that contribute positively to society and help others.

To make the event more interactive and engaging, students were warmly encouraged to come to school dressed in costumes or with props representing their chosen careers. From doctors and teachers to firefighters and engineers, the enthusiasm was contagious. The students’ costumes were not only a fun way to express their interests, but they also helped to make the event livelier and visually stimulating. This light-hearted approach made it easy for the students to imagine themselves in different professional roles, which is a crucial part of developing career aspirations at a young age.

The excitement surrounding Career Awareness Activities didn’t stop with the students. Even the Grade School Faculty joined in the fun by showcasing their own career choices through creative outfits. The faculty members, ranging from teachers to administrators, took this opportunity to model their professional roles in an inspiring and relatable way. This collaborative effort reinforced the message that every career is valuable and contributes to the greater good of the community.

Career Awareness Days—are scheduled for January 27 and 28, 2025. These days will be packed with enriching and interactive activities aimed at deepening students’ understanding of various professions. After-school sessions will be held in the Grade School Audio-Visual Room (AVR). These after-school activities are an important extension of the career exploration experience. They are designed to introduce students to a wider range of professions, with an emphasis on roles that make a positive impact on others and contribute to the well-being of the community.

Throughout the Career Awareness Days, the Grade School Guidance Services will continue to nurture the students’ curiosity and encourage them to think about their future in a meaningful way. The event is not just about learning the names of professions; it is about inspiring students to dream big and explore the many ways they can contribute to society in the future. The idea is to help students recognize that every career, no matter how big or small, plays an important role in making the world a better place.

The Career Awareness Days are an important step in ensuring that every student feels empowered to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to their communities. By encouraging students to think beyond the classroom and explore the many career paths available to them, the Grade School Guidance Services are laying the foundation for a brighter, more informed future for every student. These efforts are an essential part of preparing the next generation to not only pursue successful careers but also to contribute to a more compassionate and interconnected world.
