The SHS-AdC High School Math Area achieved an important milestone when Jua Park of Grade-10 Hurtado was recognized as the 3rd Placer in the Visayas Area Stage competition of the Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO). The award, the school’s first in the 17 years of PMO, was bestowed last January 24, 2015 at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila.
The Philippine Mathematical Olympiad is the oldest and most prestigious nationwide mathematics competition among secondary school students. It is the breeding ground for the country’s representative to the International Mathematical Olympiad (pmo.ph)
