Last August 8, 2025, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu had the opportunity to welcome 11 key administrators from San Jose Academy, Navotas City, for a professional benchmarking visit. The visit provided rich discussions with the guests by showcasing the SHS-AdC’s practices and programs that support quality education and holistic school management.
The delegation from San Jose Academy was composed of eleven participants, ten key school administrators, and one school consultant. Each plays a significant role in their institution’s leadership and development. The visiting administrators included the School Principal/Research and Quality Assurance Officer, responsible for overseeing the Vision and Mission, Strategic Management, and Risk Management; the Faculty Mentor, focused on Student Discipline; the Academic Affairs Head, who leads Teaching and Learning initiatives; and the Administrative Services Head, in charge of Human, Financial, and Physical Plant Resources Management. Also present were the Student Affairs Head, managing Guidance Services, the Student Activity Program, and Safeguarding of Minors; the School Registrar, responsible for Registrar’s Operations and the External Relations Program; and the Center for Christian Formation Head, who oversees the CCF Program along with Pastoral and Campus Ministry Programs. The group also included the Science Coordinator and Research Office Co-Chairperson, leading Research and Innovation Programs; the TLE Coordinator, handling the TLE Laboratory and ICT Development; and the AP Coordinator, who manages the Library and other Learning Resources. Completing the delegation was their School Consultant, who provided strategic insights and support throughout the benchmarking visit.
To ensure a meaningful and productive visit, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu’s own school administrators, who hold parallel positions, were present to facilitate the benchmarking activities. They provided comprehensive discussions, answered questions, and shared practical insights into the institution’s daily operations and long-term strategies.
The professional conversation between both institutions made it possible to openly discuss important topics like strategic planning, student development, resource management, and instructional innovation. This visit really highlighted how much both sides benefit from sharing ideas and experiences.
It really was a fruitful exchange. The benchmarking activity not only confirmed a lot of what has been done at SHS-AdC but also opened up the possibility for more collaboration and growth together.
SHS-AdC extends its heartfelt appreciation to San Jose Academy for choosing our institution as a benchmark for educational excellence. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the spirit of continuous improvement and shared commitment to student success all for God’s greater glory.
