Last August 29, 2024, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School Department was honored to host a benchmarking visit from the Wellness and Testing Center, Grade School Unit, Ateneo de Davao University. The purpose of the visit was to engage in a collaborative exchange of ideas and best practices related to the testing procedures and protocols, wellness programs and activities, staff training and development and facilities and equipment.
The fruitful professional conversation fostered a spirit of friendship and collaboration between SHS – Ateneo de Cebu and Ateneo de Davao University Grade School Units. Both institutions expressed a strong interest in continuing their dialogue and exploring potential partnerships through networking for staff development and initiate student exposure related to peer facilitator and mindfulness programs. The meet up ended with a campus tour.
The team from AdDU was warmly welcomed by the School President, Fr. Michael I. Pineda of the Society of Jesus. The formal conversations were led by Mrs. Mylene Louise C. Santiago, GS Guidance Counselor Coordinator, Mrs. Bonisa A. Mondejar, Testing Coordinator. The team was also joined by Mrs. Lea P. Amores, GS Principal, Mrs. Mae Divina C. Velasco, Assistant Principal – Student Formation, Dr. Charlito Codizar, FSDO Coordinator, who organized the actual visit, and the GS guidance counselors across grade levels and the school’s psychometrician.
Such school visit with enriching discussions is always a welcome opportunity to look forward to. It is a commitment to continued collaboration and shared growth to student well-being and development.
