On June 2, 2023, the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) granted the Grade School Department Level 3 re-accreditation for another five years, valid until May 2028. This is indeed another milestone for the department.
The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) has been a constant mission partner of SHS-AdC in collaborative efforts in complementing the school’s realization of its educational goals and assurance in providing the Jesuit brand of education.
Inspired by the message of hope, faith, and gratitude, the Grade School Department joyfully looks at the many graces Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu has generously received and continues to receive on the 500th anniversary of St. Ignatius’ conversion. Now on its 67th year, the school’s well-discerned journey to Excellence, Leadership and Service goes on. Despite the uncertainties, demands, and challenges the school faces specially during the pandemic years, SHS-AdC stands firm with its Vision-Mission to form young men and women endowed with the School’s core values of Christ-centeredness, Conscience, Competence, Compassion, Character, Culture and Community.
The BlendFlex PAASCU re-accreditation on February 16 – 17, 2023 marked the ninth (9TH) visit for the Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, Grade School Department. The first survey was conducted in 1977. Every re-accreditation is a vigorous experience that strengthens relationships, renews commitment to the mission and aspires to the institutional development. It’s a way to reflect and become more mindful about where we are experiencing grace and where there is room in our actions and life for growth in the upliftment of the School’s standards of education.
The PAASCU year – Ateneo Hearter Onward for school year 2022 – 2023- was a period of recovery for everyone to a reimagined future. Giving utmost consideration to health and safety for all, the School with the leadership of the new President, Rev. Fr. Michael I. Pineda of the Society of Jesus, had collaboratively put in place a transitory and adaptive management plan emphasizing the values of mission, presence, joy of learning, and innovation.
Committed to forming lifelong Ateneo Hearters, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School Department highly commends the 2023 PAASCU accreditors led by Mr. Jose Ramelle Javier together with the five other accreditors, with much gratitude. Their presence, inputs, and assistance would always be greatly appreciated.
