ย ย ย ย ย On March 31, 2026, the Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 pupils of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Early Education proudly stepped out of their classrooms and onto the stage of the Virginia Chiongbian Theater for their Culminating Activity. Held as part of the schoolโs yearly celebration of learning and growth, the activity showcased the talents of our youngest Ateneo Hearters through class presentations inspired by Bible stories, made even more timely as the community entered the Holy Week season.
ย ย ย ย ย More than a simple stage presentation, the activity reflected the schoolโs mission of forming holistic learners grounded in faith, character, and compassion. Culminating activities play an important role in Early Education, as they provide children with the opportunity to bring classroom learning to life, apply what they have learned, and share their growth with their families and teachers. For young learners, moments like these help build confidence, encourage self-expression, and affirm the value of their efforts throughout the school year.
ย ย ย ย ย As the program began, the theatre was filled with warm applause and encouraging smiles. Parents, families, and teachers gathered together, creating an atmosphere of love and support. True to the spirit of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, the celebration highlighted the strong partnership between home and school โ one that nurtures every childโs growth.
ย ย ย ย ย At the heart of the celebration were the pupils themselves. From the shy first days of school to their confident steps on stage, their journey was evident in every smile and movement. In those simple yet powerful moments, the children reflected the true work of Early Education, nurturing independence, building confidence, and helping children discover what they can do and be proud of who they are.
ย ย ย ย ย The program featured well-loved Bible stories shared through music, simple actions, and colorful costumes. The children delighted the audience as they danced and shared stories of faith in their own meaningful ways.
ย ย ย ย ย The presentation opened with the Creation Story, reminding everyone that God lovingly made the world and everything in it. Through gentle movements and expressions, the children shared the message that creation is a gift from God, and something entrusted to our care.
ย ย ย ย ย This was followed by Noahโs Ark, where the pupils portrayed different animals and the promise of Godโs protection. Their performance highlighted the values of trust, hope, and security โ values that the school nurtures even in its youngest learners.
ย ย ย ย ย Next came Moses in the Nile, gently showing that God watches over us from the very start of life. The childrenโs sweet and gentle performance captured the message of Godโs care and protection in the most innocent and heartfelt way.
ย ย ย ย ย The program continued with The Lost Sheep, where the children expressed through song and movement that God loves each person and never forgets anyone. This message of compassion and belonging resonated deeply with both children and parents, echoing the schoolโs emphasis on character formation and care for others.
ย ย ย ย ย The final story featured The Parable of the Mustard Seed, teaching that even the smallest faith can grow with time and care. This message beautifully mirrored the Early Education journey at Sacred Heart SchoolโAteneo de Cebu, where small steps, when nurtured with patience and guidance, lead to steady growth in confidence, faith, and character.
ย ย ย ย ย To close the program, all the pupils came together for a final performance to the song โLittle Hands, Big Faith.โ The performance captured the heart of Early Education at Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, celebrating creativity, courage, and a childlike faith centered on knowing Jesus more each day.
ย ย ย ย ย After the performances, the classes gathered for a special photo opportunity, capturing moments that families will treasure for years to come. The children also received a small token of appreciation in recognition of their effort, participation, and willingness to share their talents.
ย ย ย ย ย This culminating celebration offered a glimpse of the schoolโs commitment to nurturing well-rounded learners. It showed how lessons learned in the classroom come to life through experiences that nurture not only academic skills and faith, but also confidence, all supported by the guidance of teachers, the encouragement of parents, and the care of the school community. This beautiful presentation marked a joyful closing of the childrenโs milestones as they prepare to move up to the next stage of their learning journey.
ย ย ย ย ย To more little hands sharing big faith!
ย ย ย ย ย Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
