In an inspiring showcase of technological advancement and a commitment to global well-being, Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu is proud to host the National Robotics Competition last November 11, 2023, where young minds converge to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This prestigious event not only celebrates innovation in the field of robotics but also underscores the importance of technology in solving real-world challenges.

Addressing Global Challenges
This year’s competition focuses on the UN Sustainable Development Goals 6 & 14, urging participants to develop robotic solutions that address societal issues such as clean water and sanitation (SDG 6) and life below water (SDG 14). The theme underscores the potential of robotics to contribute meaningfully to a sustainable and equitable future.

The school’s facilities – Innovation Room and the Multi-Purpose Hall are abuzz with activity as students, coaches, parents and robotics enthusiasts from across different regions come together to showcase their ingenuity. The event provides a platform for networking and collaboration, fostering an environment where ideas can flourish and innovations can take root.
Inspiring Future Innovator Highlighting Robot Innovations
The competition featured a diverse array of robotic projects, from Beginner to Advanced Line Follower, Autonomous and Remote-Controlled Sumobot to Innovative Project-Based and Prototype Robots ranging from environmental monitoring devices to assistive technologies for humans. Judges, comprising of experts in robotics and sustainable development, evaluated each invention based on creativity, functionality and the potential for real-world impact.
