On January 9, 2026, one of the highlights of the Math and Career Days at Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu was the Career Talk with Parents: “Maths iApply.” Under the theme “Math in Action, Careers in Mind,” esteemed parent speakers shared their professional journeys and insights with our young Ateneo Hearters. This interactive session inspired pupils by showcasing mathematics as a powerful tool across diverse industries, bridging classroom lessons with real-world applications.
To make the talks uniquely tailored and meaningful, each grade level explored a specific theme:
Grade 1: Environmental Science
Grade 2: Arts and Design
Grade 3: Entrepreneurship
Grade 4: Culinary Arts
Grade 5: Finance and Economics
Grade 6: Engineering and Architecture
Parent speakers offered captivating glimpses into their professional lives and how mathematics fueled their success. By underscoring its practical relevance, the event sparked curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong passion for excellence among the grade school Ateneo Hearters. Following the talks, speakers engaged directly with students on their Math Days performance tasks, providing valuable suggestions and encouragement to deepen their love for mathematics.
As our Ateneo Hearters step forward, “Math in Action, Careers in Mind” reminds them that every equation unlocks a world of possibilities.
