The Grades 1 to 3 pupils of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu brought out their creativity and love for nature in the “Leaf Impressions” activity held last September 19, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. as part of the Science Week celebration.

This year’s Science Week Celebration has brought science learning beyond the classroom with two exciting activities that tested the knowledge of learners: the Learning Walls and “It’s A Matter of Fact” Science Trivia. Anchored on the theme: “Science and Health: Building Hope, Inspiring Change,” both initiatives highlight the power of science to inspire curiosity and create positive change.

The doctors are in, as parent-doctors took the spotlight as resource speakers in the opening session of the Wellness, Innovation, Science, & Environment (W.I.S.E.) Learning Series, held in celebration of the Grade School Department Science Week 2025.

In every successful endeavor, it is only fitting to pause and thank God for His sustaining grace. However, true fulfillment comes not only in celebrating success, but in extending that joy to others, especially to those in need. This spirit of gratitude and generosity was at the heart of the Grade School Science Area’s culminating activity for Science Week 2025.

Equipped with coloring materials, pencils, and big dreams, the representatives of the Grades 4 to 6 sections turned the Grade School AVR into a gallery of hope last September 19, 2025, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. during the much-awaited Poster Making Contest.

Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School Department officially opened its annual Science Week celebration on September 15, 2025, with the theme “Science and Health: Building Hope, Inspiring Change.”

Last September 12, 2025, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School department ignited the spirit of unity and excellence with the grand opening of Ateneo Fest, Hearter’s Best 2025 with the theme: “Ateneo Hearter @ Heart through Sports, Culture, and the Arts”.

Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu mourns the death of Fr. Eric Garcia Velandria, S.J., former principal of the High School Department (2004 – 2007). Before missioned to then Sacred Heart School of the Society of Jesus (SHS-J), he served as High School Principal of Ateneo de Naga (1998 – 2001), prior to which he did pastoral work in Ipil, Zamboanga.

Unlike other licensure exams, the Guidance and Counseling licensure is more challenging because it requires candidates to be master’s degree holders. This means one must first complete a four-year undergraduate program (such as Psychology) before pursuing another academic journey to earn a master’s degree, which is a prerequisite to taking the licensure exam.

Last August 28, Thursday, the Early Education Unit joyfully celebrated the Buwan ng Wika culminating activity at the Early Education lobby. The festivities kicked off with cheerful Filipino greetings and spirited songs, followed by a dazzling showcase of colorful traditional costumes that filled the room with cultural pride.
