Infused with the spirit of community, the Grade School Department of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu prioritizes the wellness of its teachers through monthly faculty wellness activities. Last August 27, 2024, the Filipino subject area sponsored the Kwek Sine Filipino film viewing in celebration of the Buwan ng Wika at the GS AVR.

From August 22 to October 11, 2024, the Magis Eagles Arena came alive as the Ateneo Hearter community celebrated passion, teamwork, and wellness through the second season of the Basketball Club Tournament, organized by the Faculty and Staff Development Office during the Ignatian Heroes Appreciation Days (IHEAD).

Ateneo Fest, Hearters’ Best 2024 in the Grade School department commenced last September 27, 2024 with a joyful parade of class teams led by their respective muses, team captains, and class advisers from the Lux Oriens Gym, to the Fr. Javier Avenue road, and up to the Magis Eagles Arena where the opening ceremony was held.

On October 9, 2024, the Early Education Unit celebrated the Ignatian Heroes’ Appreciation Day (IHEAD).

September 30, 2024 – The Grade School faculty spent the whole day on conversations – the professional ones. Their day started with a business meeting consisting of a brief thanksgiving for a successful Ateneo Fest, Hearter’s Best, the opening of this school year’s Intramural activities opening.

Science Week 2024 was a blast! It was exciting, interesting and meaningful. This year, its celebration was extra special because it focused more on environmental action. The theme “Creating Paths of Hope for the Environment and the Planet” reflected the idea of taking care of and protecting our environment.

On September 21, 2024, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu, represented by Promus—its Senior High School organization focused on environmental sustainability—participated in the International Coastal Clean-Up at Cordova Roro Port in Cebu City. This global initiative, aligned with the theme “Clean Seas for a Blue Economy,” aims to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect our oceans and coasts.

CEAP-CeSSPA Student Development Committee, in partnership with the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Senior High School Student Activity Program, will hold the CEAP-CeSSPA Student Congress with the theme “Synodality and Mission: An Empowered Youth for the Common Good.”

Last September 6, 2024, the Grade School family of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu celebrated an anticipated mass in celebration of Mother Mary’s birthday which will be on September 8, Sunday. The Grade School Ateneo Hearters wore shades of blue to represent Mother Mary’s color of tranquility and peace.
