Anchored on the school’s thrusts as a Catholic, Jesuit, Chinese-Filipino school, Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Grade School (GS) Department has successfully launched the maiden voyage of its Ateneo Hearter Adventure (AHA) in Davao last January 23-27. As one of the grade school’s efforts to continuously enrich its academic programs through authentic learning opportunities, the AHA in Davao is a voluntary 5-day academic venture in the beautiful city of Davao. Spearheaded by the Science, Social Studies, and Christian Life Formation Areas, AHA in Davao 2024 has soared high this year with 39 participants from grades 5 and 6. Guided by the learning targets anchored on each leading subject, the AHA in Davao participants experienced real-life applications of the lessons they learned in the classroom and life skills and values such as ownership of one’s responsibilities, respect for oneself and others, grit, and many others.
This academic venture of the grade school pupils is in partnership with SHS-AdC’s Culture, Arts, and International Relations Office (CAIRO) and is one of their summative tasks in the second term.
