“GS Community Celebrates Solemnity of Mary’s Assumption”
By: Mrs. Jo-ana Minese D. Dulfo, GS Faculty
The Magis Eagles Arena was awash in blue as grade schoolers arrived dressed in their finest blue Sunday attire to celebrate the Solemnity of Mother Mary’s Assumption into Heaven on August 15, 2025. The Eucharistic celebration was sponsored by the Grade 4 level. Fr. Gilbert Emmanuel “Nono” Levosada, SJ, the mass presider, enlightened the young Ateneo Hearters on the profound meaning and significance of Mary’s Assumption into heaven, both body and soul. He also recalled how St. Ignatius would look up to the heavens whenever he felt troubled, blessed, or grateful, knowing that somewhere above, our Mama Mary is always watching over us and praying for us. With this, he warmly encourages the Grade School community to always look up whenever they feel sad or stumble, reminding them that Mary, our Mother, is always there, ready to comfort and console us.
The solemn mass concluded with a heartfelt flower offering to Mary, a beautiful expression of honor and devotion.
May Mary, our Mother, continue to pray and watch over us. Amen.
