Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu mourns the loss of Ambassador Francisco “Frank” Benedicto who passed away on July 2, 2025. Ambassador Frank Benedicto, for whom the Junior High School Building is named, is a longtime benefactor of the school and the Chinese-Filipino community.
The plaque in the junior high school building reads:

For personifying Magis in the field of public service as Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to twelve countries, serving under five Presidents; for living out ethical principles in his business ventures; for epitomizing the ideals of Cura Personalis in his care and concern for the education of the youth and the welfare of Filipinos working abroad; for his example of servant leadership to the Chinese-Filipino Community of Cebu and in his committed and loyal service to God and country, this Junior High School Building is lovingly dedicated in his honor.
