In a historic moment for Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), the academic administrators, teachers, and staff have collaborated for the first time to develop the school’s Institutional Research Agenda (IRA). This initiative marks a significant step forward in aligning the school’s research efforts with its renewed vision and mission, as well as the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The crafting of the IRA was a result of collective reflection and deliberation by a diverse group of educators and administrators. This collaborative process was guided by a shared commitment to identify key priority areas for research that are relevant and impactful both locally and globally. The IRA is designed to serve as a comprehensive guide and focal point for all research activities undertaken by teachers and students at SHS-AdC.
The session and workshop to develop the IRA were spearheaded by the Research and Impact Assessment Office and the Institutional Research Council (IRC). These two bodies played a crucial role in facilitating discussions, encouraging reflection, and guiding participants through the process of identifying institutional research priorities. Through their efforts, they ensured that the resulting agenda was both comprehensive and reflective of the diverse perspectives within the SHS-AdC community.
